Engineered specifically for residential use, this American-made product has a sturdy 250-lb. load rating, a rough opening of 25-1/2 in. x 54 in., fits ceiling heights between 8 ft. 9 in. - 10 ft. 4 in., a landing space of 66 in., and utilizes a minimum clearance-projection space of 79 in. Constructed of superior-strength, kiln-dried southern yellow pine, these stairs feature 1 in. x 4 in. steps and stiles and 3/16 in. ladder rods for sure footing while ascending and descending the stairs.  Long-lasting, zinc-plated side hinges and power arms deliver added muscle and reliability. Century's user-adjustable red nut J-bolt technology allows you to adjust your stairway while it is open instead of making the adjustment from the attic, with the door panel closed - a key safety advantage. All Century attic stairways are independently certified to meet ANSI safety standards.
